"Bravery is being the only one who knows you are afraid."

I would rather have loved and lost, than never loved at all.

So there's nothing too exciting I can say about myself. If you hadn't already guessed, my name is Sydney, but you can call me Syd. Everyone else does, so why rock the boat, huh? Interests include writing fanfiction, making fanvideos, writing in general, hanging out with friends, playing guitar, and listening to music. I mostly play acoustic but I do own an electric; I am currently without an amp, so I mostly go with acoustic these days anyway.

I love animals too, though I am allergic to most of them. I have a yorkshire terrier puppy (the hypo-allergetic dog- hurray!) I used to be involved in horseback riding, but once my allergies kicked in, that was the end of that. Would love it if I could still be involved, though.

Writing is my one true passion. I've wanted to be a writer since I was four years old, and I have met some really awesome people through fanfiction. Might post on fictionpress one of these days, but that'll require alot more guts than I have :)

If you couldn't tell by my "geekdom", I'm a huge fan of reading. I mostly read fanfiction these days, but I do have a few good books to recommend. The Twilight series is absolutely amazing. Believe it or not, I refused to read them for months on end, but after buying the first book to "prove a point" and shut my friends up, I found that I actually loved them. So yeah, check those out.
Harry Potter also took up a great deal of my youth. I love the books, and read them obsessively for about six years or so. Wish the movies matched up more with them, but I suppose you have to cut things, add things... make it more "film-friendly", or whatever. Eh, JKR is still one of my heroes, in the writing world.
Apart, by R.P and Wendy MacIntyre is love. I read that book in one day- it was amazing. Written through letters, and I'm not normally into that type of thing, but I still loved it.
One of my favourite books as a pre-teen was "What They Don't Know", by Anita Horrocks which gives a really good perspective on teen life, told from the perspective of the sibling of a troubled teen. I read that over and over, and while I was probably too young to understand some of the concepts as a kid, I still loved it.

So enough on my literary references. That's pretty much all I have to say about myself, but I love meeting new people, so just friend me if you want. :)

Peace.
